BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions’

Broadcasted Live From Dallow Learning Community Centre

We had the privilege to host BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions' which is usually broadcast from locations all around the UK. This was a very high profile and prestigious event for Luton (especially in the run up to the 2012 Olympics and Luton's involvement in them) and especially for us here at the Dallow Development Trust, which is based at our premises at Dallow Learning Community Centre

The host for this live topical discussion on current news and politics was the acclaimed Jonathan Dimbleby. He was joined by a distinguished and diverse panel of guests such as Lord Levene; the former chairman of Lloyds, the writer; Bonnie Greer, the Shadow Justice Secretary; Sadiq Khan and Jeremy Hunt; the Culture Secretary.

This was broadcast live from Dallow Learning Community Centre on Friday 2nd December 2011, just after 8pm, following the news bulletin and lasted for  45 minutes. We had an outstanding turn out for this event from local people and were commended on what an absolute success the evening was.

Zulfqar Ahmed, the Chair  of Dallow Development Trust commented on the event. He said:

" We felt immensely privileged and honoured to have been chosen to host such a prestigious event, here at Dallow Learning Community Centre. Many thanks to all those involved and especially to our local community for showing us such tremendous support at the event".

Overall it turned out ot be a fantastic event and we as a centre are grateful to have been part of it.
